ABOUT THE GAME
A street brawler in the style of Streets of Rage and Double Dragon, where the fighting is street Brazilian jiu-jitsu. You strike, then grab for throws and submissions.
It is set in Los Angeles on a rainy night, in pixel art with live lighting. It is free and plays in the browser.
THE STORY
Amechi gets to his academy a few minutes late and finds the door smashed and the professor on the mat. Kingpin came in during warm-ups, challenged the professor and beat him in front of the class. Amechi ties on his purple belt and goes after him.
THE TRAILER
After the story, the screen plays the trailer.
HOW TO PLAY
Arrow keys or WASD move. J strikes and K grabs. The game picks the strike from the distance to the other man and the grab from whether he is facing you, turned away or down, so there are no button combinations to learn.
Submissions fill the POWER bar. When it is full, Space fires a power move.
THE MOVES
- J STRIKE, BY DISTANCE
- Close in: elbow, slashing elbow, knee, headbutt. At arm's length: jab, cross, hook, uppercut. A step away: front kick, roundhouse, side kick. Next to the Guard Puller: the soccer kick.
- K GRAB, BY POSITION
- Facing him: the clinch, then J or K for a throw, a suplex, a standing guillotine or a guard pull that ends in a guillotine or a triangle. Behind him: the rear naked choke. Him on his back: K for ground and pound, an armbar or a heel hook, in turn. You on your back: the guillotine from guard, a triangle or a sweep.
- SPACE POWER MOVES
